Truckers have staged a massive protest along the Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border, temporarily shutting parts of it down and demanding Trudeau ends the carbon tax.

BREAKING: Truckers protest carbon tax, temporarily shut down Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border

Videos from the protest show long lines of semi-trucks with signs all demanding the same thing: end the carbon tax, with several donning Canadian flags along with customary “F*ck Trudeau” flags.

Farmers have also begun arriving in support of the truckers and in opposition to the tax that was implemented today, raising the prices of gas, heat, food, transportation, and nearly everything else.

According to RCMP New Brunswick, due to the protest, all traffic had to be diverted on Highway 2 earlier today; it has since been opened up but is confined to one lane for commercial vehicles heading eastbound only and one lane for westbound traffic.

Those protesting say that the RCMP also plans to get tow trucks to start removing vehicles along the highway and potentially arresting those involved.

The protest is spreading to other parts of Canada

The Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border isn’t the only place where people are hosting a protest either. New videos are emerging from both Ottawa and Prince Edward Island showing protesters rallying against the carbon tax as part of a nationwide movement against Trudeau’s tax

As previously reported by The Counter Signal, recent polling shows that a staggering 78% of Canadians are against Trudeau’s carbon tax hike on April 1, and 40% want it outright abolished—but he went through with any ways.

Today’s protests are in response to this absolute indifference to the plights of Canadians and refusal to stop hiking the tax when so many are struggling.

As it stands, the mainstream media has yet to cover the protest, nor has Trudeau acknowledged any of the protesters who have taken to the street this April Fools’ Day.
