After two weeks of soaking up the sun in beautiful Costa Rica, PM Justin Trudeau has chosen to mark his return by coming into work four hours late.
Given that the PM has chosen to block real-time tracking of his flights aboard CanForce 1, it has become increasingly difficult to pinpoint where and when Trudeau has boarded or departed a flight.
However, the Toronto Sun’s Bryan Passifiume, who regularly reports on Trudeau’s time spent in the air, has pegged Trudeau’s return to Canada at sometime between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm — four to four and a half hours late after vacationing for two weeks in Costa Rica.
Moreover, despite the extended holiday, Trudeau doesn’t appear to have much on his plate. According to his itinerary, the only thing Trudeau plans to do now that he’s back in Canada is attending a brief “private meeting” in Ottawa (whatever that means).
Of course, there are more than a few problems that need his attention.
Airport chaos continues in airports across the country, which pilots now openly state is the fault of the government and their policies.
Farmers are increasingly concerned about Trudeau’s cap on nitrogen emissions from fertilizers, which will eviscerate the agriculture industry and has led the Prairie Province premiers to all step up, promising to oppose any formal legislation being brought in.
None of this has been addressed.
He’s also failed to address the recent revelation that he was told that there was a potential breakthrough with Freedom Convoy protesters the night before invoking the Emergencies Act, and the Lucki scandal is continuing unabated.
Indeed, Trudeau’s returning to a mess of epic proportions but is taking the approach of ‘if I ignore it, maybe it will go away.’ Time will tell if he’s so fortunate.
