The Trudeau Liberals have announced plans to make another 324 unique semi-automatic firearms illegal in Canada, effective immediately.

Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc announced the development Thursday afternoon, saying these new models will be added to their “gun buyback” program.

The Minister cited the 1989 École Polytechnique mass shooting in the announcement, one day before its anniversary.

“This means these firearms can no longer be legally used, sold, or imported in Canada, and can only be transported or transferred under extremely limited circumstances,” he said.

The Liberals added 1500 models to their list of banned guns in 2020.

Minister LeBlanc further said that gun owners of the models that are now added to the ban list will be given a grace period before needing to turn them in.

Asked what the government will do with the guns, the Minister said he’s considering giving them to Ukraine to use in their war with Russia.

The Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights (CCFR) have since released a scathing statement on the Liberals’ latest ploy, calling their policies ineffective at actually reducing crime in Canada.

“Over the last 8 years, with Bill C71, the May 2020 long gun ban, the handgun ban and Bill C21, Canadians have seen firearm related violence more than double. It’s now at a higher level than at any point in the last 30 years. These are the facts,” their statement read.

They continued, “This assault on licensed firearm retailers, fish and game clubs and licensed firearm owners is unacceptable. This entire scheme affects exclusively licensed gun owners.”

The CCFR also further stated that they will be challenging the Liberals in court for continually advancing their gun bans through Orders in Council (OICs) instead of legislation.

Last year, the Trudeau Liberals tried to sneak in amendments to their gun grab Bill C-21, but later withdrew them after getting caught. The amendments would have banned virtually all semi-automatic firearms.

In 2022, multiple RCMP officers involved in the Nova Scotia mass shooting investigation alleged that their Commissioner, Brenda Lucki, pressured them to release sensitive information so she could fulfill the Liberal Safety Minister’s gun control agenda.
