PM Justin Trudeau has just touched down in Ottawa after a humiliating trip to the EU, wherein he was roasted for being a “dictator” and a “disgrace to any democracy.”
During his trip to the EU, Trudeau was roasted by not one but by six Members of the European Parliament, all of whom showed utter contempt for Trudeau over his invocation of the Emergencies Act and his trampling of the civil liberties of peaceful protesters.
“…. Canada, once a symbol of the modern world, has become a symbol of civil rights violations under your quasi-liberal boot in recent months,” Croatian MEP Mislav Kolakusic said.
“We watched how you trample women with horses, how you block the bank accounts of single parents so that they can’t even pay their children’s education and medicine, that they can’t pay utilities, mortgages for their homes.”
“To you,” he continued, speaking to Trudeau, “these may be liberal methods; for many citizens of the world, it is a dictatorship of the worst kind. Rest assured that the citizens of the world, united, can stop any regime that wants to destroy the freedom of citizens, either by bombs or harmful pharmaceutical products.”
Next up to was German MEP Christine Anderson, who called Trudeau a “disgrace” and told him to spare the EU his presence.
“Then again, a Prime Minister, who openly admires the Chinese “basic dictatorship, who tramples on fundamental rights by persecuting and criminalizing his own citizens as terrorists, just because they dared to stand up to his perverted concept of democracy, should not be allowed to speak in this house at all,” Anderson said.
“Mr. Trudeau, you are a disgrace for any democracy! Please spare us your presence.”
French MEP Virginie Joon didn’t make a speech. However, she did show up to Parliament donning Freedom Convoy merch and posted a video telling Canadians that she supports them in their fight against Trudeau’s tyranny.
MEPs protest Trudeau’s speech
Moreover, while the primary purpose of Trudeau’s trip was to give a speech on Ukraine and “democracy,” the vast majority of MEPs left in protest before Trudeau even began speaking.
Romanian MEP Cristian Terhes, who’d previously called Trudeau a “dictator,” wrote a lengthy Facebook post alerting the EU and his constituents why he wouldn’t attend the speech.
“I refused to validate, by my presence, the façade of the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who gave a speech before the Plenary of the European Parliament on 23.03.2022. It was the reason for which I was not in the room when he spoke,” Terhes wrote.
“…. Between the Russian imperialist tyranny, promoted by Putin, and the neo-Marxist tyranny pretending to be progressivism promoted by the like of Trudeau, in which people are deprived of their rights and freedoms, becoming objects of the state, I do not choose any.”
Mainstream media plays goalie for the PM
The mainstream media is, of course, playing goalie for the PM, intentionally misconstruing events to make Trudeau’s trip look like a success.
While CTV News has at least acknowledged the MEPs who mopped the floor with Trudeau in the European Parliament, the CBC, Canada’s state-run broadcaster, hasn’t mentioned them even once.
In fact, the CBC went out of its way to claim that Trudeau received a standing ovation for his speech at the EU. However, they failed to mention that nine-tenths of the Parliament was not present.
Though the CBC remains happy to act as the personal PR wing for Justin Trudeau, independent media and international news organizations are holding Trudeau’s feet to the fire.
And even if the CBC manages to deceive some in Canada, the international community still knows that Trudeau is a joke on the world stage.
Indeed, to say Trudeau’s trip to the EU was a failure is an understatement. It was a disaster.
