Trudeau heads back to Europe for second glam tour this month

Justin Trudeau is heading back to Europe for a second glam tour in less than a month, taking full advantage of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

According to a press release, Trudeau will arrive at Brussels, the home of the EU, on March 23 and stay until March 25, giving him ample opportunity to participate in more photoshoots while brushing shoulders with far more respected leaders.

Not missing the opportunity to rub more hypocrisy in the faces of Canadians, Trudeau is, of course, justifying the luxury cruise with talks of democracy, despite his invocation of the Emergencies Act a month ago and suspension of peaceful protesters’ civil liberties.

“Russia’s illegal and unjustifiable invasion of Ukraine is an attack on democracy, international law, human rights, and freedom,” Trudeau said. “Canada is working in close collaboration with our allies and partners in defending democracy against authoritarianism and standing with the Ukrainian people.”

Trudeau was last in Europe only 12 days ago, taking gleeful pictures with Canadian troops in Latvia while hospitals were being bombed in Ukraine.

And while Trudeau’s endless pleasure trips, paid for with Canadians’ money, will serve to bolster his personal PR, Canadians have several pressing issues that remain unaddressed.

Firstly, inflation has caused gas prices to skyrocket to record highs, leaving Canadians poorer and many worried that they won’t be able to afford to drive to work.

Moreover, it turns out that by supporting Ukraine, Canada has “exhausted inventory from the Canadian Armed Forces,” leaving us with “capacity issues.” Militarily speaking, Canadians are defenceless, sitting ducks thanks to Trudeau’s abysmal foreign policy decisions.

This, of course, doesn’t bother him one iota — there are photoshoots and very exclusive parties to attend.
