#TrudeauForPrison is trending on social media after news broke the RCMP are investigating the Prime Minister for obstruction of justice for the allegation that he pressured the former Attorney General of Canada to stop prosecuting SNC-Lavalin.
The SNC-Lavalin affair was a political scandal that emerged in early 2019 after it was revealed that Trudeau put pressure on then-Attorney General Wilson-Raybould to stop prosecuting SNC-Lavalin, an engineering company found to have bribed both Canadian and Libyan officials.
The hashtag went viral almost immediately after social media users learned the police are investigating Trudeau for allegations he violated the criminal code of Canada.
“Let’s hope something comes from this investigation,” said one user.
The Counter Signal’s Editor-in-Chief Keean Bexte tweeted, “BREAKING: Federal Police are investigating Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for obstruction of justice. If indicted, Trudeau could face up to 10 years in jail.”
“In light of the RCMP obstruction investigation my goal for twitter today is to try and get #TrudeauForPrison trending ya’ll know what to do,” said user Yukon Strong.
Last year, #TrudeauMustGo trended on Twitter for weeks, as many users voiced concern and outright disgust over PM Justin Trudeau’s pandemic policies and response to the Freedom Convoy.
“Libs are having panic attacks over Pierre Poilievre, yet they don’t seem to see or care that their so called leader is destroying the country more each day. #TrudeauMustGo” writes one Twitter user.
“I will never let Trudeau and ALL members of the Federal Government forget what they did to their own people,” said another user.
“The Charter isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. The Trudeau regime made sure of that. Shame on all of you dishonest, disrespectful, untrustworthy cretins. #TrudeauMustGo” wrote yet another.
