Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump vowed to eradicate what he calls “transgender insanity” and other woke ideologies infiltrating American institutions if elected US President in November.
“On day one, I will sign a new executive order to cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, transgender insanity, and any other inappropriate racial, sexual or political content onto the shoulders of our children,” Trump declared.
The 45th President’s Saturday night speech was just his second public speaking event since someone shot him in a failed assassination attempt. He also promised to “not give one penny” to schools that implement vaccine or mask mandates, and to “keep men, immediately, day one, out of women’s sports.”
A recent poll shows Trump with a narrow lead in the six key battleground states. Speculation continues to mount as to whether US President Joe Biden will step down in his bid for re-election, amid obvious concerns over his declining cognitive health.
