A children’s hospital foundation in Winnipeg, Manitoba has gained the attention of billionaire Elon Musk after claiming that hospitals need to do more to support children who think they are transgender.
On November 15, the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba posted a story about a “vibrant 10-year-old” with the pseudonym “Mary.”
“Already at age 10, Mary has some big concerns about her life ahead as a transgender female,” the story reads.
The hospital foundation goes on to claim that Mary’s “journey of self-discovery” has had its challenges, something that hospitals need to be aware of.
“Echoes of her old name persist, an unwelcome reminder in doctor’s offices and dental chairs that health systems are still not up to speed on the needs of transgender kids,” the website’s story reads, as first pointed out by True North’s Cosmin Dzsurdzsa.
America reacts to woke Manitoba Hospital
On Tuesday, US-based Libs of TikTok founder, Chaya Raichik, caught wind of the development and called the hospital “pure evil.”
“They’re gonna sterilize and mutilate this kid,” she said.
X CEO Elon Musk responded to Raichik’s post, calling the hospital “unconscionable.”
The hospital doubles down
The hospital makes no mention of the fact that children who claim they are transgender might be confused. “Mary” is apparently under the impression that he is a girl because he likes rainbows and female Disney characters.
Rather, the story points to research done by a pediatric resident at the hospital, Dr. Bhatla, which “underscores the importance of allyship in supporting transitioning individuals during their social transition.”
Astonishingly, the hospital notes that “Mary” is worried about how fully transitioning to a woman might prevent “Mary” from ever having a baby (presumably due to forthcoming “gender affirming” castration), but adds that “her plans to be a famous actress won’t allow time to be a mom anyway.”
The hospital has since doubled down on its stance, expressing support for transgender kids on what is evidently “transgender awareness week.”
Earlier this year, when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau blamed the “American right-wing” for Muslims protesting gender ideology in schools, Elon Musk called him a clown.
