The World Economic Forum (WEF) posted a video on TikTok urging users to try “Veganuary,” saying this will help save 79 million lives a year.
The WEF posted a video on communist China’s social media platform, Tiktok. It also posted the video on Twitter.
“Are you doing Veganuary this year?” reads a caption.
“Veganism is an annual campaign which started in the UK in 2014.”
The video goes on to say Veganuary requires eliminating all animal products such as meat, fish, dairy, and eggs. The WEF further offers users daily recipes, meal plans, and “advice by email.”
It also said going plant-based isn’t only good for one’s body.
“A global shift to a plant-based diet could also cut greenhouse gas emissions 70% by 2050.”
The subsequent caption says this greenhouse gas reduction will help save 79 millions lives a year. And that it will save trillions of dollars in healthcare costs.
“Do you have what it takes for the Veganuary challenge?”
The WEF has been pushing this agenda for years. In 2021, the group said “Plant-based diets will be essential to the planet’s future.”
The article said going meatless will protect wildlife habitats and prevent mass extinction of numerous species.
Last year, Pope Francis said Europeans need to eat less meat.
In a letter to the participants of the EU Youth Conference, Pope Francis advocated that young Europeans look at the planet as a “common home” that needs protecting. He says that one way to do this is for Europeans to give up “superfluous things,” like meat consumption, to turn a “self-destructive trend around.”
“If you do not succeed in turning this self-destructive trend around, it will be difficult for others to do so in the future… “
