A York University lecturer and PhD student recorded a film of herself yelling “f**k you” to a group of veterans marching at a Remembrance Day ceremony on Monday.

York University PhD candidate shouts slurs at veterans at Remembrance Day ceremony

Aaliyah Khan, who already has a track record of expressing hateful and often controversial positions online, posted the interaction to her Instagram story.

Social media users were shocked at the display of disrespect, with many calling into question her immigration status.

After True North journalist Harrison Faulkner pointed out Khan’s video on X, Aaliya doubled down on her comments in a screenshotted post she made stating, “Fu*k the military and fu*k the police for real.”

The York University lecturer had already been exposed in January as a Hamas-sympathizer, after @stopantisemitism revealed that she posted in 2023, “I love Hamas.”

In fact, she also publicly doubled down on her views on Hamas, while calling on Muslims to pray for the success of the Yemen-based Houthi militia.

In her York University academic description, Khan is described as someone who has taken on projects related to gender-based violence, gendered Islamophobia, general Islamophobia, and anti-racism in educational environments.

The description also notes that Aaliya enjoys tweeting in her free time, but she has since deleted her X account due to the ongoing backlash from Monday’s post, which was exposed and shared by multiple concerned Canadians.
