You might have White privilege if you don’t think Canada’s racist

If you don't think Canada's racist, you're now White and have privilege.

The Liberal government has cranked up the wokeness to another insane level this month after it defined “White” as anyone who doesn’t think Canada is a systemically racist colonial country.

If you don't think Canada's racist, you're now White and have privilege.
If you don’t think Canada’s racist, you’re now White and have privilege.

First reported by True North’s Cosmin Dzsurdzsa, a new Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) anti-racism strategy lays out the government’s plans to cement far-left concepts into the ministry.

“(White privilege is) benefitting from unearned power, advantages, access and/or opportunities based on being white or being perceived as [W]hite,” said the report’s glossary.

“White people are defined as belonging to any of the various peoples with light-coloured skin, usually of European origin. The term has become an indicator less of skin colour and more of an unquestioning acceptance of the legacies and ongoing practices of white supremacy and colonialism.”

If that’s not insane enough for you, there’s more.

The document lays out how the Liberals plan on “permanently embedding” concepts like White privilege and anti-racism into the ministry so that it’s foolproof and can’t be changed by future governments.

“Ensure that the commitment to Anti-Racism work is permanently embedded in the Department’s structure and that senior management will be accountable for results on an ongoing basis regardless of changes in government or personnel,” said the report.

“(We must) continue hammering Anti-Racism commitments, dedicating resources to track progress and drive home the message that this issue is not just talk.”

For a country that is among the top 10 destinations of immigrants from every single part of the world, according to the Migration Policy Institute, IRCC seems to be awfully preoccupied with rooting out racism in its own ranks.

Other recommendations included in the strategy were mandatory anti-racist indoctrination, hiring based on the race of applicants, and anti-racist report cards.

“Requiring employees and executives to take mandatory unconscious bias training and having anti-racist objectives included in performance agreements,” one recommendation stated.
