NDP leader Jagmeet Singh announced he’s ending his pact with the Liberal Party that protected Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from non-confidence votes, meaning an election could be triggered any day.

Since 2022, the governing Liberals and NDP have had a ‘Supply and Confidence’ agreement that effectively makes the Liberals’ minority government a majority, and enables them to pass / avoid passing whatever legislative bills they want, all while getting protection from non-confidence votes.

The Counter Signal’s senior editor, Kat Kanada spoke with Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre on Wednesday as he responded to this development.

In exchange, the Liberals agreed to support some of the NDP’s pet policies, such as a national dental care plan.

But Singh announced on Wednesday that “the deal is done.”

This story is breaking.

Would like to know why my post was taken off. You are getting to be like the gov’t police, nothing I said was not true or ignorant. Where is this freedom of speech that you state you are working for and believe in.

Thank you Doug. They had no problem taking it off by posting my comments. That is OK, the truth always comes out.

Counter signal reporter- Kat Kanada, asked Pierre Poilievre a question, and true to form, PP didn’t give an answer.

By crossing the floor, Jagmeet vacated his position as opposition and gave Trudeau a majority government.Canadians not realizing this travesty, they didn’t give a damn. Did the NDP base vote for Trudeau? No, they did not. Did the Liberal base vote for Jagmeet? No, they did not. Did either base vote for a NDP and Liberal coalition party. No, they did not. The deal is done? It is a deal that never should have existed in the first place. As an opposition party, Jagmeet’s first duty was not to lead the Liberal party, but to keep the Liberal Party accountable to the people of Canada. Jagmeet is not only a traitor to his own base, but a traitor to canadians as a whole.

“Non answer”? I don’t trust PP but that was an answer. For non answers, try any leftist during Question Period.

It’s extremely difficult to trust anything Jughead says.
Probably just more tough talk, after all would this slithering snake actually give up his taxpayer funded pension by forcing an early election.
I doubt it.
