Public confidence in Health Canada appears to have waned so much that the department has stopped showing how many people are following their advice to get COVID vaccinated or boosted for the umpteenth time.
The department used to regularly update the public on what percentage of Canadians had received a COVID vaccine or booster shot in the last six months.
But in its latest data update on Friday, Health Canada abruptly ceased publishing this up-to-date information.
“We no longer report the number and percentage of people who completed their primary series or received a booster dose in the last 6 months,” a statement reads on its website.
It added, “This aligns with the recent [National Advisory Committee on Immunization] statement about new formulations of COVID-19 vaccines.”
It’s unclear what statement from NACI this references, and Health Canada did not respond to a request for comment in time before publication, thus giving the impression the department may just be hiding the fact that no one seems to be listening to them anymore.
In July, NACI recommended a fall formulation of the COVID vaccine “if it has been at least 6 months since the last COVID-19 vaccine dose or known SARS-CoV-2 infection (whichever is later).”
Then on September 12, NACI recommended unvaccinated people over 6 months old get the shot, as well as vaccinated individuals “if it has been at least 6 months from the previous COVID-19 vaccine dose or known SARS-CoV-2 infection (whichever is later).”
The department’s previous update on June 23 showed that less than 6% of Canadians had followed their advice to stay what Health Canada had coined “up-to-date” COVID-vaccinated.
“Up-to-date” was the government’s new term after the infamous “Fully vaccinated” and subsequently, “Fully vaccinated plus boosted” terms proved insufficient. Just last week, Health Canada’s advised some Canadians to get what would be their seventh COVID vaccine.
Health authorities lied
Recent court-ordered documents of some foreign governments’ contracts with Pfizer show the pharma giant admitted they had no idea what the long term effects of the COVID vaccine would have on those who took it.
Of course, after signing the contracts, the federal government coerced about 85% to 90% of the public to take the shots via a vaccine passport system that banned unvaccinated folks from most indoor facilities, as well as work, plane and train travel, and unemployment insurance entitlements.
All the while, of course, Health Canada told the public the vaccines were “safe and effective.”
Liberal MP Anthony Housefather later said that Canadians shouldn’t be allowed to see the contract they signed with Pfizer, claiming the contracts show that the vaccine lacked normal testing requirements.
Media tried
The drop off in vaccine uptake comes despite mainstream media ramping up COVID fearmongering efforts, including CTV publishing 15 COVID-related pieces over one August day.
Update, September 19, Health Canada responded:
“At the cut-off date of our latest report on Infobase (September 10, 2023), the fall 2023 booster campaign had not started as no XBB 1.5-containing vaccines (referred to as “the new formulation of COVID-19 vaccine”) was authorized for use in Canada. The first vaccine targeting the XBB 1.5 subvariant, Moderna Spikevax, was authorized on September 12.”
“In our upcoming reports, we will add as a new indicator the proportion of people having received a vaccine targeting the XBB 1.5 subvariant of SARS-CoV-2.”
