Independent MP Derek Sloan has been suspended from Twitter for 12 hours after sharing information that contravened Twitter’s COVID-19 policy.
Sloan tweeted “The combination of vaccine injuries and the extremely low risk that COVID poses to the young have convinced ministers in the UK to do the right thing. Where is this common sense in Canada?”
Sloan attached a link to a Reuters story sharing news that the British government decided “against mass vaccination for teens.”
The news of his suspension was shared by Sloan on Facebook, to which his followers reacted in uniform outrage.
“It’s amazing. The censorship is right in front of our eyes hiding in plain sight. We all see it, we all know what’s happening, and we’re all standing back like a bunch of fools watching it happen,” said Tim Tall, one of Sloan’s supporters.
Derek Sloan has been an outspoken opponent of vaccine culture, hosting skeptical doctors at the press office on Parliament Hill. The video of that news conference was also scrubbed from YouTube for violating company policy.
