A 56-year-old, Prakash Lekhraj from British Columbia, has been sentenced to just three years and three months in prison for raping a teenage girl, as well as making and distributing child pornography.

Rapist gets three years while Crown fights to put away Freedom Convoy organizers for ten

Lekhraj’s sentence was just handed down this week, after getting convicted in November 2023. During his trial, the rapist admitted to not only assaulting a teenage girl but also documenting the act and sharing the images with others via a group chat where he said his victim “took it like a champ.”

“In the early morning hours of August 23, 2020, Prakash Lekhraj sexually assaulted the complainant, then a teenaged girl, by, among other acts, both vaginal and anal penetration. He photographed her and via a group text message bragged to his friends,” reads the judge’s ruling.

Lekhraj also made disgusting comments in court, stating that he didn’t need consent from females for sex.

In addition to his miniscule prison term, Lekhraj faces a 10-year firearms prohibition and will be registered as a sex offender for two decades.

Canadians have expressed outrage at the sentencing, with some highlighting the fact that the peaceful Freedom Convoy organizers, Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, are facing up to ten years in prison for the charge of mischief.
