A taxpayer-funded activist group has launched an attack on Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre for his recent criticism of gender ideology.

Egale Canada, a transgender-focused non-profit organization, responded to Poilievre’s criticism of the far-left theory that claims there are not two genders, but eighty-one of them.
“@PierrePoilievre‘s claims that ‘radical gender ideology’ is being imposed on children is part of a misinformation-fueled hate campaign that is threatening the safety, freedoms, & rights of 2SLGBTQI people, especially those who are Two Spirit, trans, and gender diverse,” the group stated on Monday.
Any ideology that says there are more than 2 genders is radical to most people.

Gender ideology says there are 81.
The group said Pierre’s stance on gender is “hateful”
At the time of publication, the group’s post on X has been seen 50,000 times and received only 58 ‘likes.’
Egale Canada further claimed Poilievre’s comments were “deeply hateful and harmful claims.”

The video in question, featuring the federal Conservative leader holding a rally in Ontario, surfaced last week. Poilievre can be heard telling the crowd that “Justin Trudeau does not have a right to impose his radical gender ideology on our kids.”
The Liberal Party of Canada has since attacked Poilievre for criticizing the 81-genders theory by claiming he’s trying to bring “American far-right” politics into Canada.
Partisan non-profit
Since 2020, Egale Canada has received over $5 million from the Trudeau Liberals.
Earlier this year, the activist group called for the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to prohibit Fox News from airing in Canada.
Egale Canada sent an open letter to CRTC CEO Vicky Eatrides in regards to then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s segment titled “The trans movement is targeting Christians.”
Tucker’s segment touched on the transgender shooter who attacked a Christian school in Nashville, killing six. “Carlson made false and horrifying claims about 2STNBGN people, painting them as violent and dangerous,” the group’s open letter read.
