In a not-so-surprising poll put out by the Heartland Institute and Rasmussen Reports, Democrats were the most likely to cheer on COVID tyranny.
As per the poll, 59 per cent of Democratic Party voters wanted the government to place their fellow citizens under house arrest for simply deciding not to be vaccinated.
The silver lining to this poll is the fact that Americans at large thankfully don’t agree, with 61 per cent of voters opposing such tyrannical measures. However, the number is not nearly enough when it comes to fighting the authoritarian bent of the country’s ruling party.
On other fronts, Democrats held more extreme COVID-19 views than their counterparts, the Republicans. According to the poll, 55 per cent of Democrats want the government to fine the unvaccinated, but only 19 per cent of Republicans would support a fine.
What’s even more concerning is the fact that almost half (48 per cent) of Democratic voters think people should be imprisoned for voicing opinions contrary to the pandemic narrative.
Democrats were also more likely to want the government to force the unvaccinated into COVID-19 camps and federal facilities, with 45 per cent of their voters voicing support for such extreme measures.
Is it shocking to anybody that the same Democrats who cheered on as ANTIFA burnt down cities across the country and held the nation hostage in the name of George Floyd want more authoritarianism in America?
The Democratic Party and its adherents are increasingly unhinged and have been waging a war of censorship and control over the American people.
Most recently, a group of COVID authoritarians has called on the popular audio streaming platform to cancel the world’s most successful podcaster Joe Rogan for simply asking questions about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Of course, Democrats have been cheering on the calls for censorship. Indeed, Among those calling for Rogan to be deplatformed was the official Occupy Democrats Twitter account.
