The Counter Signal is happy to announce the launch of our own Vote Compass!
While many Canadians have sought an impartial, data-driven resource to calculate where on the political spectrum they lie, there are few truly accurate Vote Compasses available in Canada.
What the CBC serves up to Canadians are propaganda-ridden and misleading taxpayer-funded tools that tell voters how to vote.
We don’t do that here; instead, we focus on informing voters about their local candidates, rather than telling voters who they are and what they should vote for.
The CBC's vote compass is garbage. Don't think Canada is systematically racist? Boom, you are a social conservative. pic.twitter.com/TNWWfss8nQ

For example, while the CBC Vote Compass includes the typical economic questions surrounding corporate taxes and the like, several of the social issues presented are clearly framed from a left-wing perspective.
Such questions and statements that frame social issues in this way are “Canada should rename public spaces which are currently named after historical figures accused of racism,” and “Canada’s human rights laws should require that transgender people be referred to by their chosen gender pronouns.”
These questions, and the categorization that people receive if they disagree with their premises, make it clear that the CBC believes that only a real far-right whack job would possibly disagree.
The Counter Signal has devised a fairer and more accurate alternative. Rather than telling Canadians who to vote for, we provide the facts and answers to the most pressing questions of the election.
We really think you are going to like it and hope you find the information informative and useful.
