The Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) held its inaugural conference on Monday in London.
ARC has been called an alternative to the doom and gloom messages espoused by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Over 1,000 attendees showed up to the sold-out conference, including Dr. Jordan B Peterson, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Bjorn Lomborg, as well as politicians from Europe, the UK, Australia, and the USA.
CEO Philippa Stroud opened the conference by underlying ARC’s vision.
“We believe there is a better story, and it’s one of optimism that sees a future of abundance and opportunity, not scarcity and decline” she said.
Stroud said there is a better story to be told than what citizens regularly hear, one that is rooted in rediscovering solid foundations.
“We invite you to go on the journey from darkness fragmentation division polarization and intolerance to a better story one that is rooted in the infinite value of every human being built on the freedoms of freedom of conscience freedom of speech freedom of assembly and woven together with kindness faithfulness gentleness and self control by a responsible people.”
Stroud stated that now is the time to rediscover what Western nations once took seriously, such as valuing every human being as individuals rather than groups. She said that society works best when freedoms such as freedom of conscience, speech, and assembly are honoured.
Earlier this year, Dr. Peterson promoted ARC by slamming the WEF as being “top-down centralized apocalyptic fear mongering compulsion and force.”
