The Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) has made some significant changes to their constitution on Saturday, including some culture war related ones that are sure to infuriate the far-left.
Protecting female spaces and sports from biological men passed with an overwhelming 87% of delegates’ support.
“The Conservative Party of Canada believes that women are entitled to the safety, dignity, and privacy of single-sex spaces (e.g., prisons, shelters, locker rooms, washrooms) and the benefits of women-only categories (e.g., sports, awards, grants, scholarships),” the policy read.
This means if elected government, the CPC would propose legislation that prevents biological men who claim they are trans women from entering female prisons or shelters.
Last year in Ontario, a biological man who identified as female, gained access to a women’s shelter, then allegedly sexually assaulted a woman turned himself in to police.
Another trans-related policy that passed with 69% is opposing the mutilation of minors who suffer from gender dysphoria.
“A Conservative government will protect children by prohibiting life altering medicinal or surgical interventions on minors under 18 to treat gender confusion or dysphoria, and encourage positive mental and physical health support for all Canadians suffering from gender dysphoria and related mental health challenges,” the policy states.
Last year, an undercover exposé by Project Veritas unveiled the shocking reality of transgender ideology– children as young as 10 are being given puberty blockers.
Ten policy proposals made it to the plenary session, which is the last stage of policy proposals.
The changes come on the third and final day of the CPC’s convention that took place in Quebec. Over 2,500 Conservative delegates voted on a number of proposals to the party’s policy handbook.
