Video of Poilievre destroying a reporter goes internationally viral

Video of federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre has gone viral at the international level — something that usually only happens when the Prime Minister of Canada does something embarrassing.

Video of Poilievre destroying a reporter goes internationally viral

Poilievre casually munched on an apple while taking questions from a reporter, Times Chronicle Editor Don Urquhart, who baked typical left-wing attacks into his questions such as calling Poilievre a populist and Trump-like.

The CPC leader wouldn’t allow it, and thoroughly embarrassed Urquhart in real time, who couldn’t cite any of his allegations.

“Pierre Poilievre casually smacks down a left wing journalist while munching on an apple,” said the US-based Townhall.com. The outlet’s video clip of Poilievre’s exchange has over 4 million views, just 8 hours after posting.

“The apple sells this so hard. I need to do all my interviews eating apples,” said US author and Dilbert-creator Scott Adams.

@PierrePoilievre HUMILIATES left-wing journalist, casually flips script on him while eating an apple,” said Young Americans for Liberty.

Common attack

In August, a similar incident took place between Poilievre and a left-wing reporter after she attempted to label him a “dog whistle to the far-right.”

The reporter, Teresa Wright, asked Poilievre “A number of your own comments and actions have been characterized as dog whistling to the far-right…”

“By who?” Poilievre interjected.

“By …I think it’s been characterized that way,” she clarified.

But Poilievre wouldn’t let her off the hook. “Who are these experts?,” he said. “You’re saying that experts are saying this. Who are they?”

The reporter tried to move on and asked “Are you trying to court the far-right vote?”

Poilievre responded, “Sorry, your question seems to be based on a false premise. You can’t even tell me who these experts are. It sounds like it’s just a CBC smear job.”

He added, “I know that Justin Trudeau’s supporters are so desperate to distract from that because his political career is falling apart.”

Later in the day, it even caught the attention of Elon Musk. He said Pierre’s exchange with the reporter is “fire.” See it here: https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1714423986954658044?s=20
